Philosophy

The broadcast team is a part of the worship team and ministry.

• • They lead others in worship.

  • They should understand their role as the significant service that enables those unable to attend worship services in-person to gather virtually with the body of Christ.

General Technique

• • Every shot should enable the viewer to engage in worship.

  • Know what hinders the viewer to engage in worship

  • It is better to do simple shots well than to do creative/artistic/complex shots poorly.

Know the songs/song arrangements

• • Know the lead voices and instrumentalists of a song, and focus on covering these people during their moments of leading the song.

  • Know the arrangement or flow of the song. Get familiar with the length of verses, choruses, and instrumental breaks, and shoot in a rhythm that is cohesive with the flow of the arrangement. Use rehearsal time to make notes of the flow.
